Jesús Vázquez: "This is a big thing for me, something that I've always dreamt of"
Jesús Vázquez has fulfilled a big dream by signing his renewal with Valencia CF until June 2025. After signing his new contract, the young left-back trained at the VCF Academy opened up to VCF MEDIA, sharing his feelings and revealing his goals to continue growing as a Valencia CF player.
A dream come true
This is a big thing for me, because I've been here for so many years. There is a huge connection between the club and I, that involves all of the players, directors, staff, kitmen, coaches etc. I've been through every level at this club, and this is something that I've always dreamed about.
It's something that you dream about, but you never imagine that it will happen. You fight for it, and see that you're getting closer all the time, until the day arrives and you're there. You have to give it your all and show that you're here to stay.
Trust in the youth
A lot of trust has been shown in us young players. Valencia CF are a club that have brought many players through to the first team. That also influences you to choose Valencia CF, because they believe in the VCF Academy and the progress they make here is huge.
Unforgettable memories
I'd been training with the first team for a while, due to the injury to José Luis Gayà and his callup to the national team. I knew that there was a big possibility of playing in the cup. I was told in a training session that I was going to feature in the game, and you can imagine how crazy it was.
Debut
My debut in the Copa del Rey was a beautiful day for me, helping the club to make it through the tournament.
A message to the fans
I hope that I can stay here for many years and become Valencia CF's left back.
I've been here since I was five years old, and I feel more Valencian than anything else. Valencia CF is my home, and I am going to fight for this opportunity like never before.
